Texas Ice Storm 2013

…just a quick “Hey Y’all“…

Apparently anyone watching the news knows North Texas was hit with a crazy ice storm. We were without electricity for only 18 hours, so not too terrible. We are still without internet and TV. Our provider says Friday is the earliest we will get service back.

Lack of internet has seriously shocked my system. I didn’t realize how much I read and do online! I even download my library books (e and audio) via internet. I have since discovered how powerful my Android smartphone is. (I’m writing this post on it, so please excuse any typos.) It can do a lot more than I gave it credit for, although typing with only one finger is brutal. Hopefully I won’t use up my data limit before Friday.

Also, I want to welcome and thank all of you who have followed my blog this past year. I have learned a lot about writing, and know I still have a lot to learn. I intend to take it up another notch this year. My goal is to have at least 1,000 subscribers before I release my first novel. Torn Between the Two is the working title, and I will be shopping for an agent or publisher in the spring.

I realize my followers are a pretty diverse group, but if you have any requests or suggestions for posts you would like to see, please let me know. It seems the topics that get the most views are writing, service dogs, theology, and flash fiction. I will keep that in mind as I plan future pieces.
